What is InstantRankmeter?
InstantRankmeter is an online service that gives you a complete statistical overview on how your website is performing within the Google, Bing and Yahoo! search engines. All you need to do, is type in the address of your website and the keywords related to it, and you will not only receive the statistics of your website, but also the report on two of your competitors, which makes the information much more interesting.
You don't need to register to use this service, but we believe it is really worth doing so. As a registered user you will be allowed to use more detailed options (give more keywords, for example) and you will not need to type in your data over and over again. You will also be able to monitor the changes in the position of your website by comparing it with your previous statistics. According to my country's Google (google.fr, google.co.uk etc.) by using the same keywords my website seems to be in a completely different position than what InstantRankmeter's statistics show. How is this possible?
InstantRankmeter uses Google's official AJAX Search API to get the results, so our reports are based upon these. Unfortunately, Google's AJAX Search API does not support searching by country yet, it uses the main index of google.com. This gives the same hit list, as if you have used Google in the USA. We hope that Google will soon undo this restriction, so that InstantRankmeter's services would not only be useful to those who live in the USA. It is probable, that the more people ask Google to lift this restriction the sooner they will do so. So you can help too by sending a short a statement to the developers of Google AJAX Search API. Until this situation is resolved, we restricted the search results of Bing and Yahoo! to the USA too.
Similar services usually cost between $200 and $500, while InstantRankmeter can be used for free. What is the trick?
There is no trick. InstantRankmeter is completely free, and you won't have to pay for it in the future either. In our reports we show search engine optimization related advertisements, and we maintain the page from the money we receive from those ads.
